For the First Time, I Feel Enough: A Mother’s Day Reflection

This Mother’s Day feels especially meaningful for me because, for the first time, I truly feel like I am embracing motherhood without the negativity and constant voices telling me I am not enough.

There was a time when I questioned my worth as a mother every single day. I carried the weight of hurtful words, criticism, and the belief that I was failing. But over the past year, with God’s help, I have grown in ways I never imagined. I’ve made difficult but necessary decisions, found strength I didn’t know I had, and slowly rebuilt my confidence and peace.

Today, I can finally say this with confidence: I am proud to be a mum.

I am not perfect, but I show up every day with love, resilience, and the determination to give my children the best of me. This season has taught me that motherhood is not defined by someone else’s words, but by the love, sacrifice, and care we pour into our children every day.

Healing while parenting is one of the hardest journeys, but also one of the bravest.

To every mother rebuilding herself while raising her children, I see you. Keep going 💪🏻

Happy Mother’s Day to every woman navigating life with strength, courage, and love.

Today, we celebrate you.

Yours truly,

Dr Kenny
